These works are about breathing new life into objects that were discarded decades ago, items that had given up the notion of being valuable. These old artifacts now have great value, as they serve as a reminder that nothing stays new forever. Time does pass, no one is promised another day. If you have a dream and if you have a passion, pursue it before it is too late.

Pierson uses objects that all predate 1950. He does this because most items made before that date were intended to live long, productive lives, unlike our current “new today/obsolete tomorrow” standards. These works pay homage to that optimistic and honest time in history – that time when things were created in hopes they would change the world for better.
